A news magazine that focused on new and current music may not seem like a ground breaking idea now, but it certainly was when J.D. Roberts and Jeanne Beker began hosting the show in 1979. Aimed at the youth market, and with a focus on new wave sounds, The NewMusic was a fresh take on music television. As tastes evolved and changed, the show did as well - remaining current and cutting edge for nearly 30 years.
