Imagine being able to go back and have the chance to fix the pivotal moments in your life. This is what life is like for Erica Strange (Erin Karpluk), whose therapy sessions turn into adventures in time travel as her therapist (Michael Riley) introduces her to a new world of possibilities.
The Voting Period is over. Thank you for helping to choose Canada's favorite TV show.
Everyone can relate to the issues the cast members are working through, either directly or indirectly. This show really makes you think and reflect. I am always surprised when Toronto is referenced bringing me back to the fact that it's a Canadian show that actually reflects that the cast lives in Canada. Well done!!
Love the imagination of this show. It's never boring because the writer keep stepping it up. Fantastic.
Being Erica is at once thought-provoking, inciteful, funny and relevant. I too worried that it wouldn't be brought back this fall. The cutbacks to the CBC have been pretty devastating and I am hoping against all odds that this wonderful cast will be back next season to bring us the quirky and emotive story lines that make Being Erica the best Canadian television show ever. It takes a lot of imiganation and intelligence to write a show that is sophisticated, modern, romantic and sexy without exploiting women and sometimes violent without exploiting men.
"Being Erica" represents a leap forward in Canadian television in terms of tackling modern, bold, socially-relevant themes in intelligent and creative ways. It has humor, heart and a wonderful cast. It's a show for the 21st Century and for the paths (both taken and untaken) that have led to our current lives. Highly recommend!
I have yet to watch an episode I didn't like. The cast is great and the idea behind it is so relatable. Great production! I wasn't sure they would come out with a season 3 and now I'm a little worried again for season 4. We shouldn't have to fight for such an amazing show!!
